We, (Charl and Kai) both fly CT’s. These wonderful aircraft are designed in Germany and are entirely manufactured from carbon composite materials, which speaks to their low overall weight, efficiency in the air and low maintenance. The components are manufactured in the Flight Design factory in the Ukraine and then brought to The Flight Design factory in Kamenz in Germany, where they are assembled, engines and avionics installed and all testing done, prior to being packed and shipped to their destination. In order to offer customers a reasonable delivery time, we have booked and paid for a permanent production slot which allows for a 5 to 6 month delivery time from the date of receipt of deposit.

Our base is at Morningstar Airfield (www.wcmc.co.za), just 20 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. We have close links to Sideslip Aviation, which is the AMO on site, as well as to the Morningstar Flying Academy. Sideslip will be tasked with the assembly of all CT’s, for which they will be trained at the factory in Kamenz in Germany. Morningstar Flying Academy is able to provide conversions on to CT aircraft for new owners. Test flight are also possible from here, subject to prior arrangement.

At present, there are 16 registered CT’s in South Africa, and we are confident that we will add to these numbers soon. We have yet to come across a CT owner, who is not thrilled with their aircraft and and it’s performance..
